community: From the Ministry Coordinator...
Posted by stm |
As many of you know, 2009 has been a financially difficult year for charitable organizations. It has been a difficult financial year for many individuals, businesses and agencies. It was tough for a lot of people, and Sojourner Truth Ministries felt the pinch too. The tough times meant that more people were using our services and also that income went down.

community: JOY
Posted by stm |
One of my granddaughters used to have a teacher who believed children should begin their day with laughter. So each morning she would write a joke on the black board. Our granddaughter collected all these jokes in her head and when would get together as a family she would keep us in with telling one joke after the other.

community: Area Church Members serving in the Military
Contributed by Pastor Dave |
Pastor Dave writes: In Honor of those who serve: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
Please pray for a safe return home and for a peaceful resolution to conflict.

VISION STATEMENT
Sojourner Truth Ministries shall be a loving, spiritual, and inclusive Christian mission.
MISSION STATEMENT
Sojourner truth Ministries loves all people, creates community, builds character and equips us to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
At Sojourner Truth Ministries, our goal is to provide a place where God's love may be experienced. Our doors are open to all as we minister to those who are broken, whether that brokenness is financial, physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, relational or any other type of brokenness. Sojourner Truth Ministries seeks to be a place of safety and healing through the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.
Sojourner Truth Ministries actively seeks volunteers who know the peace of Christ and are able to share that peace with those who are troubled, anxious, alienated, and disenfranchised.
